Legal Obligations
All buildings, structures and open spaces that can be occupied by the public and employees are required by law to have a written Fire Risk Assessment, carried out by a Competent Person.
Fire risk assessments should be carried out by a 'competent person' Who possess:
- Knowledge of relevant and latest Fire Legislations
- Knowledge of Fire Safety
- Knowledge of Fire Development
- Have appropriate training
Our Fire Risk Assessor has spent 32 years within the fire service and was appointed head of fire safety for Northamptonshire and Leicestershire and a member of ‘MIFireE’ (Member of the Institute of Fire Engineers).
The Fire Risk Assessment will identify risk to life from fire within premises, and, where appropriate, will make recommendations to ensure compliance with the latest Fire Safety Legislation.
